It started in a backyard garden in the Chicagoland area, where a grandfather named Rafael grew an obsession with fiery peppers. His early sauces were legendary — but almost too legendary. Too hot for most people to handle.

Years later, Rafael and his sons set out to change that. They wanted to create a sauce with real heat and real flavor — something that could go on lumpia, tacos, eggs, grilled meats, or just about anything — without leaving your mouth on fire for the next hour.

In 2022, they finally nailed it.

The name? His grandson came up with it. "Loco" — crazy in Spanish. "Lolo" — grandpa in Tagalog. It's the perfect name for a crazy grandpa who turned a backyard hobby into something the whole world can enjoy.
